 Amid covid 19, it's a low profile journey to any tourist destination..This time it's  nelliympathy, Palakkad dist., Kerala..    Place is unfamiliar with deserting of tourists... had seen better days...To look on the bright side, untouched by tourists for months, the wildness of jungle and scenic beauty enhanced to  a great extent..A feast for the eyes...    Those tea factory outlets were yet to be opened for tourists...Roads were empty.. Inhabitants of jungle seemed to enjoy the bestowed freedom... thanks to the pandemic..   Covid taught us to travel with packed food for long distances as a Social distancing measure though restaurants and tuck shops are  always appetizing..   A leech  rose to the  occasion to stuck to my feet ferociously, in an attempt to  suck blood out of my vein, as it's a rare treat for them nowadays..   Most...

Journey always thrills let alone the destination....' Parun thumpara' undoubtedly blessed with scenic beauty..one of its kind..Those land scapes with hair raising steeps bet you be on cloud nine..Icing on the cake is the off roading experience to touch the heap tops with own vehicle.. a literal ego trip...wagamon, parun thumpara , vandi periyar, theni ... a perfect package for two days...

Illickal kallu.. Not sure if it's the right time to go there..It's all parched and brown..The place demands a lot of attention.... Authorities ought to give a good look..Narrow roads, unattended pathway to the crest, untidy washrooms, and the list goes on...when there is an entry ticket basic amenities are our right...Ilaveezha Poonchira, another scenic spot is just 7 kms away but the connecting roads are undrivable.. Of course nothing can take away the charm of the place..As natural as it can be..One wants to embrace it but have the heart in the mouth as accidents are just around the corner... Can't blame the tourists for venturing out but befitting safety measures are to put in place by the authorities..  The only ones who care about the place are those kind hearted Jeep drivers and tuck shop venders who out of their ways make you feel at ease.. Understandably they can't give a cold shoulder like others as they know it's their (only)means of livelihood...

Jadayupara- Larger than life   It's a work of art...Worth every penny you spend..The cable car experience is out of the ordinary..An emerging tourist zone where signature of class is apparent everywhere..Still in the process of finishing touches and fine tuning...The place fits the bill for controlled adventure seekers ...
